Trivia about Chawna

Looking for proof that authors are strange people? You might just find some evidence here, or maybe it's just me...

Purple is my favorite color. Hard to tell, isn't it?

My first names starts with a C instead of the more normal S because my mom wanted my initials to match my older sister's. (Note to parents: Never do this; it makes sorting out school projects a pain.) But my name is pronounced the same as if were spelled with a S.

My favoite pizza is ham and pineapple or Hawaiian, as it is sometimes called.

Kay Jeweler, Hallmark, and Budweiser have produced my favorite ads.

The comics I read everyday on my Yahoo! accounts include B.C., Wizard of Id, Cathy, and For Better or For Worse.

My favorite fantasy animal is the Phoenix/Firebird.

My favorite Bible characters are Tabitha and Esther.

I collect Snowflake Teddy Bears and anything Norman Rockwell, Thomas Kinkade, Disney, or Precious Moments.

My favorite television shows include Murder, She Wrote, Mission: Impossible, Numb3rs, and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

I read A Little Princess once a year.

Figment of Imagination is my favorite Disney character. He's cute, fun, and

perfectly captures the essence of a creative person, not to mention he's purple.

At the grand age of six, my ambitions when I grew up were to write down the stories my dad made up for me when I went to bed and to work for Walt Disney.

Disney's Beauty and the Beast is my favorite movie.

I do not talk, walk, or snore in my sleep. But I do sing. Or so my somewhat questionable sources say.

My hobbies include spinning, weaving, crochet, sewing, and cross-stitch.

Whoppers and red-hot divinity are my favorite candies.

I can read both biblical Hebrew and biblical Greek.

My "day" jobs have included house cleaning, church pianist, cashier for a gift shop, and general worker at a home-based fiber-processing mill.

After scouring antique and used bookstores, I finally own all twelve books in the Five Little Peppers series by Margaret Sidney.

I make a whopper of a banana split and Froot Loops is one of my favorite toppings.

I can spell backward as well as I do forward and sometimes better--which isn't saying much.

My favorite family "vacation" was the seven weeks I spent traveling on the road with my family for my dad's business.

When I visited Walt Disney World, I was chosen as one of the extras for the Indiana Jones show at the former MGM Studios.

My favorite musicals (not including movie-to-stage productions) are Hello, Dolly! and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. I also love the music from Man of La Mancha and Secret Garden, but have not had the opportunity to see them performed on stage.
